Tamaqua residents know Spring is definitely in the air when the street sweeper resumes its regular operations. A full schedule has been set for next week, with operations scheduled to begin each weekday at 7 a.m.

Monday's schedule will include: Union, Market to end; Orwigsburg, Hunter to Coal; Jerome, Washington to Swatara; Lombard, Rowe to Boyle Avenue; and Laurel, East End Ave. to end.On Tuesday, the sweeper will be found on Market, Broad to Union; Spruce, Boyer's Market to Catawissa; High, Bowe to Catawissa; Clay, Pitt to Washington; Anderson, Lehigh to Lombard.Wednesday's schedule will be: Greenwood, Mountain Ave. to end; Brown, Pitt to Nescopec; Hunter, Broad to Orwigsburg; Van Gelder, Coal to Nescopec; Federal, East End Ave. to Mountain Ave.; Columbia, East End Ave. to Mountain Ave.On Thursday, the schedule will include: south side of Broad, Maff Motors to west borough line; South Railroad, Broad to Spruce; Center, Broad to south SR309 bridge; North Railroad, Broad to north SR309 bridge; Penn, Hunter to Coal.Streets scheduled for cleaning on Friday are: north side of Broad, Maff Motors to west borough line; Mauch Chunk, Broad to Pine; Berwick, Broad to Rowe; Nescopec, Hegarty Ave. to Cottage Ave.; Pine, Cedar to north SR309 bridge; Clark, North to end; Cedar, Greenwood to Center.Streets will be posted in advance and parking will be prohibited.
