Melanie Jupin and Charles Todd Arsenault, both of Mays Landing, N.J., became engaged on Dec. 13.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Michael and Ann Marie Jupin of Nesquehoning. She graduated from Panther Valley High School and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Florida in Tampa. She went on to receive her master's degree in psychology from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia and her teaching degree from Immaculata College in Philadelphia. She is a high school teacher in Atlantic City.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Charles and Lynn Arsenault of Atco, N.J. He graduated from Edgewood High School and Roger Williams University. He is the general manager of National Restoration and Facility Services in Blackwood, N.J.
