Published December 28. 2010 05:00PM

Bradley Kerr, 21, of Lehighton, escaped injury in a crash Dec. 26 at 4 p.m. on the Little Gap Highway in lower Towamensing Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said he was driving a 2001 Ford Expedition that crashed in the area of 2955 Little Gap Road. Police said he was westbound on a slushy/icy roadway during a snowstorm when he lost control of the Expedition and it veered into the eastbound lane. The vehicle went off the southern shoulder of the road and struck a PPL pole, then continued to spin and strike a mailbox.

Police said the spin continued, at which time the vehicle struck a parked 2010 Ford Econoline van before coming to rest on the southern shoulder of the road facing southeast.

Police said Kerr will be cited for failure to drive at a safe speed and for violating the Motor Vehicle Code as it pertains to roadways laned for traffic.
