Omega health screen
The Omega Health Screen performed by Quest Diagnostics will hold a screening on blood tests and lifestyle evaluation on Saturday, April 24 from 7-9:30 a.m. at Lehigh Carbon Community College. The fee is $50.
The visit is sponsored by the Nesquehoning Woman's Club.

The schedule of services for the Coaldale-Summit Hill United Methodist for Sunday, April 25, is as follows:
Worship services will be held at 9 a.m. in the Summit Hill United Methodist Church and at 11 a.m. in the Coaldale United Methodist Church. The Rev. Burgess Gordon, pastor, will officiate at both services.
During the Summit Hill service, a church member will be honored for her 70 years of membership. A luncheon will follow.
The adult Sunday School will meet at 9:45 a.m. in the Coaldale church.
A special offering will be received in both churches for the confrence's "Solar Panels for the Congo" project.
St. Paul Lutheran
Literacy Sunday will be celebrated on Sunday, April 25, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Summit Hill.
The worship service will take place at 10:30 a.m. and will be preceded by Sunday school at 9 o'clock.
The schedule for the Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill, for Sunday, April 25, is as follows:
Junior choir, 8:45 a.m.; adult Bible study, 9 a.m.; Sunday school, 9:15 a.m.; and worship service, 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Frederick W. Rogers, pastor, officiating.
Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, is currently accepting registrations for the 2010-11 school year.
Parents can register their child weekdays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the school.

Children registering for kindergarten must be 5 years old by Oct. 15 following the September in which they will enter school. First graders must be 6 years old by that date.
Parents registering their child(ren) must bring the child's birth certificate, baptismal certificate, immunization records and a registration fee.
St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, has scheduled a three-day novena in honor of St. Rita of Cascia for Thursday through Saturday, May 20-22.
The novena will begin with a Mass at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, followed by Mass at 7 p.m. Friday, May 21, after which time Anointing of the Sick and novena prayers will take place.
The novena will conclude on Saturday, May 22, with a 9 a.m. Mass, followed by the blessing and distribution of roses.
The church choir will participate during the novena.
The executive board of the Nesquehoning Woman's Club will hold a meeting on Sunday, April 25 at 7 p.m. at the Hometown home of Valerie Higgins.
