One race decided on Northern Lehigh board

There was really only one race to be decided for four four-year terms on the Northern Lehigh School District Board of Education, since three candidates were cross-filed and there was one candidate each on the Democratic and Republican ballots.

The cross-filed candidates who won positions are Donald Dengler, who topped the ballot with 1,309 votes, Gregory Williams, 1,288, and Gary Fedorcha, 1,186.For the fourth position, Republican Lauren Ganser won over Democrat Ann Tarafas by a margin of 1,041 to 930.In Lehigh County, Dengler was the top vote-getter with 1,183 votes, followed by Williams, 1,153, Fedorcha, 1,066, Ganser, 964, and Tarafas, 846.In Northampton County, Williams was the top vote-getter with 135 votes, followed by Dengler, 126, Fedorcha, 120, Tarafas, 84, and Ganser, 77.Voters in Slatington Borough, Lehigh County, Washington Township, Lehigh County, and Walnutport Borough, Northampton County, participated in the voting for the school board seats.
