Schuylkill drivers facing DUI count

Two Schuylkill County drivers are facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) charges following separate incidents.

State police at Frackville said about 1:18 a.m. on Sunday, March 24, they found Tim R. Weikel, 23, of Barnesville, pulled off onto the berm of SR61 south, in Butler Township. He was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.Troopers said the DUI charge is pending blood test results.About 9:50 p.m. on Friday, March 22, troopers stopped Amanda P. Slade, 38, of Harleysville, Montgomery County, along SR61 at SR895, in West Brunswick Township, after being observed driving erratically while southbound.She was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. She was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers noted.
