Twenty-one enter guilty pleas; 10 get jail time

Twenty-one people entered guilty pleas to criminal charges in Schuylkill County court with 10 receiving jail sentences imposed by President Judge Willilam E. Baldwin.

Ashley Nichole Mabry, 25, Pottsville, driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in the county prison, fined $1,000, pay $300 to Substance Abuse Education 9(SAE) fund, $50 to MCARE fund, perform 20 hours community service, attend alcohol highway safety school and receive outpatient treatment, and license suspended for a year. Mabry was cited by Shenandoah Capt. George Carado.Kimberly Hons, 32, Mahanoy City, DUI of alcohol and drugs, 72 hours to six months in county prison, fined $1,000, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to MCARE fund, $460 to Schuylkill Medical Center (SMC)-South, attend safety schooll, receive outpatient counseling, perform 20 hours community service, and licensse suspended for a year. On a summary charge striking parked vehicles was fined $300; and failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic fined $25 plus $100 in costs. Hons was cited by Mahanoy City Lt. John Kacmarczyk.Kevin Anthony Kegolis, 27, Shenandoah, on charges of DUI of alcohol and drugs, sentenced to serve 90 days to five years in the county prison beginning Sunday, Mardh 24, at 9 a.m., fined $2,500, pay $600 to SAE fund, $100 to MCARE fund, $240 to SMC-South, attend safety school, receive outpatient counseling, and one year license suspension. On summary charges of driving while license suspended fined $200; and driving with an open can of alcohol beverage in his car fined $25 plus $100 costs.Kegolis was first cited by Trooper Michael Breznik in July 10 and was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitated Disposition (ARD) probation program for first time offenders by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine. Kegolis was revoked from the program when he was cited by West Mahanoy Township Patrolman Raymond Tonkinson III, for DUI of drugs on April 22, 2011.Charles J. Koncsler, 30, Shenandoah, theft, placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund, and perform 10 hours of community service. He also must make restitution of $8 to the victim, Marie Manbeck, 400 S. Lehigh Avenue, Frackville. Konscler was cited by Patrolman George Parnell, Frackville for removing money from a strong box.Gregory T. Grove, 50, Mahanoy Plane, Gilberton, harassment of Linda Catazone, Girardville, placed on probation 12 months, and pay $50 to CJEA fund. Grove was cited by Patrolman John Borchick.Jeanine M. Longenberger, 41, Mahanoy City, disorderly conduct, sentenced to serve two to 12 months in the county prison, however,since she has served 98 days was released on parole and ordered to perform 10 hours community service. Michael Dissinger.Cody Ryan Barnes, 27, Pottsville, possession of an instrument of crime (shotgun) and recklessly endangering another person was placed on probation 23 months, and pay $50 to CJEA fund. Barnes was cited by Pottsville Patrolman James P. Englert, with firing a shotgun whose pellets landed on a roof in a densely populated section of the city.He also pleaded guilty to striking a home in 700 block of Schuylkill Avenue with his car and received a concurrent 12 months probation sentence and pay restitution of $4,332 to the victims, Joseph and Regina Freiler. Barnes was cited by Patrolman Renee R. Galle.Jason Thomas Kerstetter, 23, Frackville, simple assault and disorderly conduct, placed on probation 12 months, and pay $50 to CJEA fund. Kerstetter was cited by Butler Township Chief Edward Tarantelli.Todd Dennis Dohner, 46, Pine Grove, indecent exposure in a borough park, placed on probation 24 months and submit to a mental health health evaluation. He was cited by Trooper Jeffrey Hummel.Dohner also pleaded guilty to harassment of Natalie Zimmerman, Pine Grove, by voice mail messages left on her answering machine, and was given a concurrent 12 months probation sentence. Evans, 35, Landingville, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, 12 months probation, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, perform 10 hours of community service, and make restitution of $365 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. Evans was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Kenneth A. Jacoby.Eddie M. Adams, 33, Shenandoah, possession drug paraphernalia, 12 months probation, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and 10 hours community service. On a charge of driving while license suspended was fined $200; and failing to carry car insurance fined $300 plus $100 in costs. Adams was cited by Shenandoah Patrolman Laurie Dudash.James Landron, 31, Reading, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, serve eight to 23 months in the county prison, with the sentence to begin Wednesday, March 27, at 9 a.m., pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and make restitution of $302 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. Landron was cited by West Mahanoy Township Chief Shawn Tray, with possessing heroin.Matthew Konscler, 20, Shenandoah, delivery of a controlled substance, serve three to 18 months in the county prison with the sentence to begin Wednesday, March 27, at 9 a.m., pay $100 to SAE fund and $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. He received credit for serving 35 days. Konscler was cited Schuylkill County Drug Task Force.Richard Bates, 27, Shenandoah, delivery of a controlled substance, serve three to 23 months in the county prison beginning Monday, April 1, at 9 a.m., pay $100 to SAE fund, and $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. He received credit for serving 29 days. Bates was cited by the county drug task force.Cheryl Ann Bloss, 38, Shenandoah, delivery of a controlled substance, serve three to 12 months in the county prison beginning Monday, March 25, at 9 a.m., pay $100 to SAE fund, and $113 to Bethlehem Regonal Lab.
