A Monroe County woman is facing a charge of retail theft following an incident that occurred about 1 p.m. on July 11.

State police at Fern Ridge said troopers responded to the ShopRite store, at 107 Kinsley Drive, Chestnuthill Township, for a reported theft. On scene officers found Rosanne M. Simeone, 26, of Long Pond, being held by store personnel. She allegedly attempted to remove $27.94 worth of merchandise from the store without paying for it.
