A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a two vehicle crash that was reported about 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, along SR115.
Pocono Mountain Regonal police said they responded to the above location, which is near McGinley's Pub, for a two-vehicle crash.
On scene officers learned that a vehicle driven by Diane Harbin, 55, of Albrightsville, while northbound, veered into the southbound lane and struck a vehicle operated by Carrie Brown-Poole, 44, of Long Pond. The impact caused Brown-Poole's vehicle to spin coming to rest facing north. After impact Harbin's vehicle continued north and ended up in a ditch.
Brown-Poole and passengers Michelle Poole, 22, and a 14-year-old male juvenile, both from Long Pond, refused medical treatment at the scene.
Harbin showed signs of intoxication and was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, where she submitted to a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police added.
Assisting at the scene were volunteers from the Tobyhanna Fire Company and the Pocono Mountain Regional EMS unit.
