A new bench was dedicated to volunteer Claire Heiney for her 14 years of service to the Carbon County Fair. She was misidentified in a newspaper story in the Wednesday, Aug. 7 issue of the TIMES NEWS. Heiney also was recognized by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for her volunteer service to the fair.

Also Judy Shutack was named a Volunteer of the Year at the Carbon County Fair. She was also wrongly identified in a story about the opening ceremony of the Carbon County Fair.The TIMES NEWS regrets the errors.
