State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence (DUI) arrests.

On Sept. 16, about 2:25 a.m. troopers attempted to make a traffic stop along Serfass Road, east of Burger Hollow Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, of a silver Nissan Quest for traffic violations.

As troopers approached the stopped vehicle the driver pulled away at a high rate of speed.

A pursuit was conducted for about five miles before the driver pulled into a driveway at 211 Arnold Road.

The driver was identified as Kenneth Jerome Richardson Jr., 28, of Effort.

He was found to be under the influence and was taken into custody. He was charged with fleeing and eluding, DUI, recklessly endangering another person, and several motor vehicle code violations.

On Saturday, Sept. 22, about 2 a.m. troopers stopped Michael Reinhart, 55, of Jim Thorpe, at Canal Street and Main Road, in Weissport. He was found to be under the influence and taken to the Lehighton hospital for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers said.

Also on Saturday, about 1:30 a.m. troopers stopped Alex Rehrig, 23, of Lehighton, at Bridge Street and SR209, in Weissport. He was found to be under the influence and taken into custody. The DUI charge is pending blood test results, troopers added.

On Sept. 16 about 2:40 a.m. troopers were investigating a fleeing and eluding incident. At the time troopers observed Bobbie Jo Horton, 39, of Kunkletown, driving along Arnold Drive, in Polk Township. After stopping her vehicle she approached the troopers' cruiser. She was found to be under the influence and was charged with DUI.
