10,000 PPL customers without power following Wednesday's storm

A total of 10,387 PPL customers were without power following yesterday's storm that struck the eastern region of Pennsylvania. Counties affected the most consisted of Lehigh (2,119 customers), Lancaster (3,260 customers) and Northampton (2,755 customers). Other counties affected were Schuylkill (449 customers), Snyder (616), Perry (300), Luzerne (411), Pike (130) and Dauphin (179). Power was restored quickly to most areas. As of 8:30 a.m. today, only 142 customers were still without power. A PPL crew works on a pole in the Dutch Hill section of Tamaqua following yesterday's storm.
