State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating several crashes on Schuylkill County roadways.
A four-vehicle crash occurred about 5:18 p.m. on Friday, July 13, at the intersection of SR183 and Millers' Alley, in Cressona. Troopers said Bradlee L. Levan, 17, of New Ringgold, was stopped on Miller's Alley in a 2002 Subaru Outback and attempting to turn left onto SR183 to go south. At the same time Brian D. Welsh, 39, of Pottsville, driving a 2005 Ford 500, and Francis L. Tranquillo, 51, of Pottsville, driving a 1996 Honda Accord, were stopped for traffic on 183 for a traffic light.
At this time Jennifer Haeseler-Steiner, 38, of Philadelphia, was southbound on 183 driving a 2005 Audi A4. Levan then pulled out onto the Cressona Fire Company parking lot to pull onto 183. The Subaru struck the Audi. Steiner continued south after impact and struck Welsh's and Tranquillo's vehicles.
Two passengers with Welsh, Braeden T. Welsh, 3, and Mykenna J. Welsh, 7, were injured but treated at the scene.
Troopers cited Levan for stop signs and yield signs.
A one-vehicle crash occurred about 1:45 p.m. on Friday along Panther Valley Road, in Wayne Township. Troopers said Donald E. Dower Jr., 21, of Pine Grove, was driving a 2004 Subaru Impreza eastbound and failed to drive at an appropriate speed as he attempted to negotiate a left curve. The Subaru left the road and traveled along the berm for about 60 feet before striking a ditch. The vehicle fell into the ditch disabling it.
