Two facing drug related counts

Two men are facing drug related counts for allegedly attempting to have a fraudulent prescription filled at a Lehighton pharmacy.

Borough police said Richard Johns, 33, of 7420 N. 21st. St., Philadelphia, and Damien Black, 29, of 254 N. Hills Ave., Apt. 2, Glenside, Montgomery County, were arrested for an incident that occurred about 6:35 p.m. on Monday, July 30, at the Rite Aid along N. First St.Police said the two presented a fraudulent prescription for oxycodone to be filled at the pharmacy. The two were taken into custody and found on them was another fraudulent prescription for oxycodone.Jones was charged with criminal conspiracy to commit acquisition or obtaining possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation and forgery. Black was charged with two counts of the same count.Both men were arraigned before on-call District Judge Casimir Kosciolek, of Lansford, and committed to the county prison in Nesquehoning after failing to post $2,000 straight cash bail each.
