The 2011 Chestnuthill Township Beautification Award was presented to the Kresge Funeral Home, Inc. of Brodheadsville at the Nov. 15 Chestnuthill Township supervisors meeting. Tom and Laura Kresge accepted the award from Janet Johnson of the Pride in Chestnuthill Committee (PIC). The annual award is given to a business in the community "for their Pride In Chestnuthill and the extra effort in beautifying and maintaining their business." The award is given from the board of supervisors (Chuck Gould, chairman, Dave Fleetwood, vice chairman and Chris Eckert) and citizens of Chestnuthill Twp. as a "Thank you." Members of PIC do the actual judging.
