One person was hurt in a two-vehicle mishap at 5:49 p.m. Jan. 16 on Route 940 near Pocono Lake.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said Terry Webster, 65, of Pocono Lake, was the injured person. He was transported to the Pocono medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of his injuries. Police also said he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and a blood test was administered to him at the hospital. Police said charges of driving under the influence of alcohol are pending.

Dillon P. Fogarty, 19, of Shenandoah, has been committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, on charges relating to a shooting incident that happened between 9:50-11:30 p.m. Jan. 16 in Ryan Township.

State police at the Frackville barracks said he was arraigned before District Justice Carol Pankake and committed to jail in lieu of $35,000 straight bail.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating an attempted burglary on Jan. 17 located at 1200 block of Country Club Road in Lower Macungie Township.

Police said the victim is a 48-year-old female from Allentown.

Police said unknown actor(s) entered her residence via an open garage door and entered the residence, rummaging through several drawers in the kitchen area. Police said the victim's son had been in the shower upstairs and upon exiting yelled downstairs, apparently scaring off the actor(s) who fled from the scene.

Tasha C. McMurray, 24, of Tobyhanna, who police said was unable to pay for a cab ride she asked for, has been cited by Pocono Mountain Regional Police for theft of services.

Police said she called Mountain Taxi to request a ride to her residence and upon arrival there told the cab driver she did not have the money to pay the fare.

The incident happened at 5:50 a.m. Jan. 14 in Pocono Country Place, Tobyhanna.

Prince Mujaj, 18, of Germansville, is facing drug-related charges as a result of a traffic stop made by state police at the Fogelsville barracks at 2 p.m. Jan. 16.

Police said he was stopped along Muse Road in Weisenberg Township for an equipment violation, after which time police detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Police said he was asked to perform a series of standardized field tests which showed signs of intoxication.

Christopher Polanco and Tawk Smith, both 19 and from Scranton, were arrested by Pocono Mountain Regional Police after an incident on Jan. 14 in Tobyhanna.

Police said they were arrested for underage drinking after police stopped their vehicle.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police arrested Ramon Figueroa, 41, of jersey City, N.J., for driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop on Jan. 14 at the intersection of Rt. 940 and Interstate 380 in Pocono Summit.

Police said they stopped the man for an equipment violation, after which time it was determined he had been drinking alcohol. Figueroa failed a field sobriety test and was transported to the state police barracks at Fern Ridge for a breath test to determine his blood-alcohol level.

State police at Lehighton reported on burglaries and theft incidents being probed by troopers.

Troopers said the home of Warren K. Malick, 49, of 217 Honeysuckle Road, Lehighton, East Penn Township, was entered sometime between 4:45 and 5:50 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 16.

Troopers said the unknown criminals sprayed shaving cream in the bathroom and spread trash throughout the kitchen area causing damages. Nothing was reported taken.

Four Schuylkill County businesses were cited by the Allentown enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Joan O. Mammarella, trading as The Village Inn, 101 W. Centre St., Mahanoy City, was cited for loud music.

The alleged violation occurred on Aug. 14, 2011.

Lorisa K. Feltner, 43, of Carlisle, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:33 p.m. Jan. 17 along Interstate 81 in Butler Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at the Frackville barracks said the severity of her injuries is unknown at this time. She was transported to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, by the Frackville EMS.

Police said she was driving a 2001 Freightliner southbound when it traveled to the right off of the travel lanes of the interstate and entered the shoulder area of the road, making impact with the guard rail.
