A Schuylkill County driver is facing charges, including fleeing or attempting to elude police, following an incident that occurred on March 10.

State police at Frackville said Michael Jevelle, 25, of Brandonville, was observed operating a 1994 Ford Probe along SR924 in the area of Schuylkill Aveneu, in West Mahanoy Township, with an expired registration plate.

Troopers attempted to stop Jevelle but he fled at a high rate of speed towards Brandonville.

Troopers said multiple criminal and traffic code violations will be filed against Jevelle.

Slatington police reported the arrest of a borough resident for disorderly conduct.

Police said about 2:33 a.m. on Friday, March 16, offiers responded to the area of 610 Main St. As a result of an investigation police cited Todd G. Serfass, 29, of 255 E. Franklin St.

A Monroe County woman is facing charges.

State police at Fern Ridge said Theresa Gertrude Moore, 53, of Effort, has been charged with false reports to law enforcement.

Troopers said Moore reported she was choked and struck about the head by husband, Glen R. Moore, at their residence at 151 High View Lane, in Chestnuthill Township, on March 5. When troopers arrived at the residence they saw no signs of physical injuries on her.

State police at Lehighton reported on three driving under the influence (DUI) arrests.

Troopers said about 3:52 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, Troy Dubois, 40, of Lehighton, was stopped in the 300 block of N. First St., Lehighton, for a traffic violation.

He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests.

Also on Sunday, about 2 p.m. troopers stopped Hans Hayden Kuhn, 34, of Jim Thorpe, along SR903 at Third St., in Jim Thorpe, for several vehicle code violations.

He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest.

Indecent assault

A juvenile referral was filed against a 16-year-old Palmerton male for 2 counts of indecent assault and simple assault. The incident occurred on Feb. 19 at 1:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Alley L.

Leaving unattended child in motor vehicle

Lynn Burawski, 45, of 426 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton, was cited for leaving an unattended child in motor vehicle. The violation occurred on March 12 at 2:37 p.m. in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

A Monroe County man is facing a charge of public drunkenness following an incident that occurred on Monday, March 12, about 1:47 a.m.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said at the time stated officers responded to The Brookside Inn on Main St., in Tobyhanna, to assist ambulance personnel with an unresponsive intoxicated male who was reportedly lying in a puddle.

A vehicle stop in Carbon County led to the arrest of the driver on a drug charge.

State police Lehighton said Erik Ryan Boehm, 23, of Lehighton, was stopped about 12:33 p.m. on Canal Street, at Bridge St., in Weissport, on Monday, March 12, for a vehicle code violation.

A further investigation led to Boehm being taken into custody for a drug law violation.

Troopers said Boehm was also charged with forgery and false identification to law enforcement authorities.

A vehicle stop in Monroe County led to the arrest of the driver as a wanted person.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Rodney Harrison, 32, of New York City, N.Y., was stopped along SR196 in Coolbaugh Township, about 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, for a inspection violation.

A check revealed he was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service in New York for fraud. He was placed under arrest and placed to the county prison in Snydersville pending extradition to New York state.

A hit-and-run driver is being sought in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said the incident occurred about 11:10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, along SR924 in East Union Township. Troopers said a tractor-trailer was driven northbound when it struck a telephone wire that was hanging low across the road. Upon impact the driver continued northbound.

A PennDOT dump truck, operated by Michael Bettinger, of Gordon, stopped at the scene and sustained minor damage to the vehicle's antenna, troopers said.

A Jim Thorpe Area School District student was cited this week for actions on a school bus.

State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred about 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, along SR903 at Behrens Road in Penn Forest Township.

Troopers said a 16-year-old male was hopping from seat to seat, violating multiple school policies and hanging out the bus window. Troopers said the teen was charged with disorderly conduct.
