State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating the theft of a trailer from a site in Penn Forest Township.

The victim is Raymond DiFrancesco, 50, of Chalfont, Pa.

The theft happened between 5 p.m., Dec. 27, and 1 p.m., Dec. 30, at 240 Petrarch Trail in the township.

Police said DiFrancesco told them someone removed the 2007 Worthington trailer from the driveway of his secondary residence.

The trailer is valued at $1,900, police said.

Natalia Rose, 47, of Effort, has been cited by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks on a charge of harassment.

Police said the charge stems from an incident at 7:22 p.m., Dec. 30, at 59 Glendale Court, Chestnuthill Township.

The victim, Steven Blanco, 55, also of Effort, told police the woman struck him with a pair of salad tongs during a domestic dispute. The victim suffered a small scratch under his left eye.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a hit-and-run accident that happened at 9:20 p.m., Dec. 29, along Route 895 in South Manheim Township.

Police said a vehicle traveling west went off the highway and struck a mailbox and post along the north berm, damaging it, and then traveled about 50 feet before coming to rest in a yard at 2563 Fair Road in the township.

Police said the vehicle left the scene by traveling west on Rt. 895.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a burglary that happened between 9 and 10 p.m., Dec. 31, in Tremont Borough.

The victim is Amanda Dunmoyer, 53, of 16 W. Laurel St.

Police said she told them someone entered her home via an unlocked rear door and stole her purse from the kitchen counter before exiting the premises through a back door.

Two persons were injured in a head-on crash at 8:25 a.m. Dec. 20 on Route 443 in North Manheim Township, according to state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.

Police said Joshua A. Sophy, 18, and Michael G. Kurchock, 53, both of Port Carbon, were hurt in the crash. The severity of their injuries is unknown, police said.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a recklessly endangering incident whereby someone shot a .22-caliber gun through a home in Branchdale.

The victims are Kyle Shuey, 28, Heather Matukewicz, 26, and a 4-year-old juvenile, who police said were in the room where the shot made impact.

The incident happened at 8:55 p.m. Dec. 30, at 96 S. State Road, Reilly Township.

Harry Holzer, 65, of Allentown, has been arrested by state police at the Fogelsville barracks for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police said they stopped a vehicle he was driving at 9:01 p.m., Dec. 30, along Interstate 78 in Salisbury Township and made the criminal arrest.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks were summoned on Jan. 1 at noon to investigate an incident they are calling "theft of services."

Police said the incident happened at the Country Gas and Convenience Store, Route 715, Jackson Township.

Police said a 53-year-old man from New Jersey told them someone dumped three bags of garbage into his dumpster.

A theft by unlawful taking incident reported to have happened between 3 p.m., Dec. 27, and 1 p.m., Dec. 29, in the Village of Sheridan, Porter Township, Schuylkill County, is being investigated by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.

The victim is Scott M. Smith, 39, of Tower City.

He told police someone entered two unlocked vehicles at the rear of his property and removed the radio from each of them. The actor(s) also stole aluminum wheels from the rear of the property before fleeing undetected.

The value of the items taken is about $210, police said.

State police at the Frackville barracks are investigating a harassment incident that was reported to them at 4:34 p.m., Jan. 1.

The victim is Diane M. Doncheski, 51.

She told police she received a harassing telephone call from a known person.
