A retail theft incident that was reported at 10:50 a.m. Oct. 11 at the Boscov's department store in the Fairlane Village Mall, Pottsville, is being investigated by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.

Pollice said someone removed a tester bottle of Blue De Chanel men's cologne from inside the store. Police said the store's loss prevention personnel were able to stop a female outside the store, at which time she returned the bottle but did not provide any identifying information for authorities.

The investigation is ongoing.

State police at the Schuuylkill Haven barracks are investigating an incident whereby items were stolen from a parked Jeep.

The incident happened between 4 p.m. Oct. 10 and 6:40 a.m. Oct. 11 at the heritage Heights section of Norweigan Township.

The victim is Michael Goodwin, 26, of Pottsville.

He told police someone unzipped the sotf top of his 1995 Jeep Wrangler and removed a flashlight and a cell phone charger, valued at $12, and fled the scene undetected.

A reckless endangerment incident that happened at 1:55 a.m. Oct. 11 in East Brunswick Township is being investigated by state police from the Frackville barracks.

The victim is Jeremy Paul Talanca, 36, of Berwick, who police identified as a security man at the site, Joe's Used Auto Parts on Summer Mountain Road in the township.

Police said someone fired three shots at the victim's vehicle while he was on patrol on the property. The actor(s) then fled the scene on a four-wheel all-terrain vehicle.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating the theft of approximately 300 gallons of diesel fuel from a site in Schuylkill County.

The victim, Edward Padinske, 72, of Pottsville, told police the incident happened between Oct. 5 and 8 at the Barren Coal Company, Route 125, Porter Township.

Police said someone arrived at the scene from an unknown direction and removed the fuel from several pieces of equipment that were stationed there, fleeing in an unknown direction.

The fuel is valued in excess of $1,000, pollice said.

A criminal mischief incident that was reported at 11:15 p.m. Oct. 6 in North Manheim Township is being investigated by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.

Police said Sarah Wychunis, 21, of Orwigsburg, reported someone threw eggs at her 2010 Nissan Versa, causing the paint to be chipped away on the hood of the car.

The incident happened at Route 443 and North Greenview Road in the township. Police said the damages are estimated at $250.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police arrested Jules Callaghan, 42, of New Jersey, on charges of escape, resisting arrest, fleeing or attempting to elude police and driver required to be licensed after an incident at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 4 in the parking lot of the Full Gospel Holiness of God church parking lot, Coolbaugh Township.

Police said they responded there after Callaghan called 911, identifying himself as Jesus Christ, and saying he "couldn't get through the dark side."

Three persons are facing charges of manufacturing methamphetamines as a result of the execution of a search warrant on Oct. 8 at 9:30 p.m. at a residence in Effort.

Charged are Thomas E. Kram, 31, of Albrightsville, and Shawn D. Berger, 31, and Kimberly A. Maro, 29, both of Effort. Following arraignment, Kram is being held in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, while Berger and Maro were later released.

Thomas Edwin Kram, 31, of Albrightsville, was issued a citation for harassment by state police at the Lehighton barracks after an incident on Oct. 7 at 8:45 p.m.

The incident happened at 506 Blueberry Way, Saylorsburg. Police said the victim is Lisa reid, 33, of Saylorsburg.

Police said the citation was issued as a result of an altercation between the two.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police arrested Joel S. Johnson, 31, of Stroudsburg, for shoplifting after he was caught trying to steal items at the Shop Rite Store in Mount Pocono.

Police said the incident happened at 2:44 p.m. Oct. 7 when he was caught attempting to leave the store without paying for $164.79 worth of merchandise.

He will receive a citation for retail theft through the magistrate's office.
