Four people were injured in a three-vehicle crash that occurred about 12:34 p.m. on Wednesday along Route 54 in Ryan Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Helen P. Lauricella, no age given, of Tamaqua, was driving a 2008 Ford Edge eastbound when she lost consciousness.

Her vehicle crossed into the westbound lane where it sideswiped a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Shanna M. Poindexter, 36, of Tamaqua.

The Edge continued on and then collided head-on with a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Mandy L. Starling, 34, of Mount Carmel.

John L. Smith II, 27, of Lansford, was cited by Tamaqua Police on July 24.

Officers received a call at 7:18 p.m. about a suspicious man, wearing a red tank top and black shorts, who was seen removing something from one of the train cars located in the area of the Tamaqua Train Station.

The man placed the item in the waistband of his shorts.

When officers arrived, they found Smith, who matched the description. He appeared nervous and didn’t have an explanation for why he was in the area.

A Tamaqua man was cited after he entered a condemned home in an attempt to retrieve some of his belongings.

Police were called at 6:15 p.m. on July 28 after Gordon Machay, 40, of 410 E. Union St., Tamaqua, was observed, by a neighbor, entering a property at 335 Hazle St., Tamaqua. The house, owned by Gail and William Fritz, was posted as condemned on July 27.

Machay said he entered the home to get his clothes and was told he needed to contact borough authorities to arrange for an accompanied visit.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating the theft of an all-terrain vehicle from a business in Pine Grove Township.

The incident was reported at 4:50 p.m. Thursday. Police said someone stole a 2009 Kawasaki Bruce Force ATV while it was parked outside Pine Grove Yamaha, 193 Tremont Road. The ATV had been dropped off at the business earlier in the day for repairs.

Police said it is real tree camouflage in color with a front and back rack and a front-end winch.

Tamaqua Police cited Chelsea Lynn Walters, 23, of 175 Orwigsburg St., Tamaqua, in connection with an incident on July 21.

Officers were called to the residence at 8:24 p.m. and spoke with a male victim, who said Walters was hitting him. The argument was over a custody dispute.

Walters was charged with harassment.

A criminal mischief incident that happened between 1 and 9 a.m. Mondayin Saylorsburg is being investigated by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

Police said a suspect allegedly threw eggs at the victim’s house on the 100 block of High Point Drive in the township.

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:19 p.m. Saturdayon Interchange Road in Towamensing Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said Shyanne L. Mitchell, 22, of Effort, the driver of the vehicle, and Glenn J. Tanner, 30, of Gilbert, a passenger, suffered minor injuries. A second passenger, Jason L. Lebar, 35, also of Effort, was not injured.

Charles L. Hildabrant, 95, of Saylorsburg, was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 11:28 a.m. July 23 at the intersection ofOld Route 115 and Anchorage Road in Ross Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said he was transported to Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, in the West End Ambulance. The severity of his injuries was not known, police said.

Tamaqua police are investigating an assault on a Schuylkill Haven man, reported to the department at 9:13 p.m. on July 31.

The victim said he was on South Railroad Street when he was attacked by another man wielding a hammer. The suspect was described as a tall man who was walking with another man, a woman wearing a blue and white striped shirt and a brown and white dog.

The victim was treated by EMS personnel but refused to go to the hospital.

Victoria Schmitt, 41, of 29 E. Elm St., Tamaqua, was cited by Tamaqua police on July 29 after she repeatedly sent threatening text messages to another woman. The threats included the use of a baseball bat and the intention to kill.

Schmitt was cited for harassment.
