St. John Lutheran

On Wednesday at 7 p.m., St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, will hold an informal worship.

This will be a spiritual, peaceful, evening service with Holy Communion. All are welcome to this relaxed, brief, musical, evening prayer.

For those who wish to come early, a free simple supper is served at 6 p.m., followed by a brief adult Bible study and confirmation program at 6:30.

Summit Hill

Food pantry

The Summit Hill Food Pantry, headquartered in the Heritage Center at Hazard and Chestnut streets, will hold a mini-pantry (distribution) of nonperishable food commodities on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

The food will be distributed from 10-11 a.m. Those who are eligible for the items are asked to be prompt and to bring sturdy tote bags with them to help carry the food.

Feed the People

The public is invited to a "Feed the People" program on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 10:30 a.m. at the Summit Hill Heritage Center, 1 W. Hazard St., Summit Hill.

This is a new program being started by community members to provide a hot meal for anyone in need. This will be the first meal served through the program which will reach through Summit Hill, Lansford and Coaldale.

Christmas Eve Cantata

A Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion service will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lansford.

The Rev. Roy H. Koehler will be preside at this service.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
