Pleasant Valley OKs building sale

Pleasant Valley district business manager Susan Famularo requested approval of a resolution for the sale of the former operations center in Polk Township. The building, located at 660 Interchange Road, has been unoccupied for several years.

The purchaser is identified as 660 LLC. The property is to be conveyed at a price of $485,000 in "as is" condition.Court approval is required before final settlement.Famularo also requested approval for the 2017-2018 general fund budget. The resolution calls for a tax levy of 146.016 mills in property tax, an earned income tax of 0.5 percent and a real estate transfer tax of 0.5 percent.The budget does not include a tax increase over the previous year.Director Dan Wunder thanked outgoing superintendent Carole Geary and Famularo for the hard work they put into making a budget that worked best for the district, the students and the taxpayers.Other items Famularo requested approval for was the purchase of a 2017 all-wheel drive police Interceptor at a cost of $25,091.39.The vehicle will be purchased from Koch Ford and will replace a 2013 Jeep Cherokee. The Jeep was used as a trade-in.
