Trailer breaks free along I-81

A trailer attached to the back of a sports utility vehicle, broke free along Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County, on June 21 and rolled across the roadway striking a construction sign.

State police at Frackville said Reynaldo Castillo, 55, of Drums, Luzerne County, was driving southbound operating a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban towing a steel flatbed car carrier trailer with no car on it.The trailer was incorrectly attached to the Suburban and came loose. It crossed the grassy center median and both southbound lanes and bounced off a large highway construction sign.The trailer then re-entered the northbound lanes, rolling completely over in the process.The trailer came to rest on its wheels facing southbound in the northbound passing lane on a bridge of the Route 61 overpass.No one was injured.
