The Lehighton High School Class of 1957 Scholarship Fund collected over $11,000 to honor the class's late Vice President Maureen Markley. Markley helped lead all class activities in the 60 years between their graduation and her passing. Markley died in November. This year's recipients of the fund's award were seniors Eckman and Quinones. They were awarded the scholarships at the Lehighton Area High School Awards Program by Fritzinger, officer of the Class of 1957.
