NEPA Alliance announced the appointment of Noble C. "Bud" Quandel as the new chairman of the board of directors for 2016-2018.

Quandel serves as the chairman and chief executive officer of Quandel Enterprises Inc. in Minersville. He assumed the position of CEO from his father in 1976, but began his career as a laborer and carpenter apprentice while attending Bloomsburg University.Quandel is currently working on constructing and/or managing in excess of 100 projects worth more than $1 billion.The NEPA Alliance, a regional community and economic development agency, serves Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne counties.
