A Hazleton driver is facing driving under the influence related charges after a crash in Tamaqua on June 7.

According to police, Eric Ryan Dito, 21, of 863 N. Locust St., was driving on the 300 block of Willing Street when his Mitsubishi allegedly struck a parked Subaru Legacy. According to police, Dito left the scene but then returned because he said he felt bad.Police noted Dito was having a hard time keeping his balance along with slurred speech and a strong odor of alcoholic beverages. He admitted to drinking at least two beers before driving.Dito faces charges of DUI and careless driving.
