District 11 umpires Dan Rossino, Andy Harvan, Tim Wood and Bob Merwine have been selected to work today's PIAA Class AAAA state championship game between Avon Grove and Hempfield. The game will be played at Nittany Lion Softball Park on the campus of Penn State University at 5:30 p.m.

It is the second time this umpiring crew has worked a state championship softball game. They also did the 2004 Class AAA final at Shippensburg University.Rossino and Wood have also officiated a PIAA state football championship game, having worked the 2009 AAA title game at Hershey Park Stadium.
