Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber keeping busy

The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber is proud to kick off the new year with a signature networking event on Jan. 10 at Eight Oaks Craft Distillers.

Eight Oaks opened Jan. 10, 2016, and has been taking the Lehigh Valley by storm with its vodka, gin, rum and applejack, which are all made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The chamber is excited to help them kick off their anniversary week of events with an anniversary mixer and party. The mixer will feature mini-tours of the distillery, one sample cocktail, cash bar, live music, and food from Curious Goods at the Bake Oven.We send out a great networking thanks to our sponsors: Eight Oaks Craft Distillers, Monica Sellers Hair Salon and Keystone Technology LLC. Register to attend online at

www.greaternorthernlehigh.com or contact Alice Wanamaker at 484-274-2080. Sponsorships are available. In other news, the chamber hosted its annual tree lighting on Dec. 2 in conjunction with the first Slatington Merchants' Group First Friday event. The event gave residents and visitors alike a taste of what Slatington has to offer. Businesses stayed open late and hosted events for the entire family. There was even a pop-up farm market with the Blue Mountain Farm Market taking up residency for six hours at 643 Main St. in Slatington. This year was the most well-attended tree lighting. The Slatington Merchants will host their next First Friday event on Feb. 3 with the theme: Spirits & Spirits. Events that day are taking shape. The Chamber will host a "Locked in the Library" event from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Slatington Public Library. The mixer from 5 to 6 p.m. will be followed by tours of the library, which is said to be haunted. Paranormal investigators will provide the tours, and Eight Oaks Craft Distillers will provide the other spirits. Register online; tickets are limited. In addition to our Slatington Library location, we are proud to partner with Heidelberg Township and Berkshire Hathaway Home Services/Benjamin Real Estate office in Schnecksville for additional office and meeting space. Please contact any of the chamber representatives to set up a tour and talk about how the chamber can help your business grow.
