State police at Lehighton said a traffic stop at 10:30 p.m. July 29, at 110 Spring House Drive in Saylorsburg resulted in the driver being charged with DUI and the passenger being arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Police said they stopped the vehicle while it was traveling east on Spring House Road, after which time it was determined the driver, a 24-year-old woman, was driving while under the influence of heroin and the passenger, a 25-year-old man, was in possession of heroin. Both are from Ross Township.
