It's playoff time.

What makes it interesting for all of us is that we get to watch many teams that we haven't seen during the regular season.Three of our local squads are shooting for district championships this weekend and a chance to continue their seasons in the PIAA playoffs.Marian in Class A, Northwestern in AA and Lehighton in AAA haven't put the helmets and pads away yet and hope to be receiving gold medals in the near future.With one more week after this in the Grid Picks race, here goes:NORTHWESTERN AT NO. DAME GP - The Tigers and Crusaders battled in the regular season and the Crusaders came away with the win. They looked real sharp last weekend, but so did the Tigers. In a close one ... Notre Dame, 15-14.MARIAN AT TRI-VALLEY - The Colts had no problem with the Vikings' archrival Williams Valley in the opening week of the season. They take the bus ride on I-81 once again ... Marian, 25-14.SAUCON VALLEY AT LEHIGHTON - The Panthers beat Becahi last week and have one powerful ground game. Just can't go against the Indians at home, however ... Wyoming Valley West, 28-21.EASTON AT PARKLAND - The Trojans beat the Red Rovers during the regular season, so let's just call this revenge ... Easton, 21-20.BLOOMSBURG AT SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - The Hurricanes got a bye last week right into the Eastern Conference championship. They are well rested ... Schuylkill Haven, 18-12.SOUTHERN LEHIGH AT ALLENTOWN CENTRAL CATHOLIC - The Spartans have the best defense that I've seen in the Colonial League this year. The Vikings, however, learned a lot in the EPC ... Central Catholic, 14-7.READING AT EMMAUS - The Green Hornets scored a ton of points last week against Williamsport. The Red Knights had quite the time of their own against Pleasant Valley ... Emmaus, 28-19.RIVERSIDE AT MEYERS - An Eastern Conference battle that is a rematch of a 7-6 Meyers win earlier in the season. Revenge again! ... Riverside, 7-6.BERWICK AT SCRANTON PREP - The Bulldogs want to win one more for George (Curry). It's going to be tough ... Scranton Prep, 21-13.LAKE LEHMAN AT DUNMORE - The Bucks' only loss this year was to Scranton Prep on the first weekend of the season ...
