The Pleasant Valley School District is considering a policy that would require a health team member to make the decision as to whether to admit or exclude a child with AIDS from attending classes. Any such child would not be publicly identified.

The policy that has been drawn up favors neither mandatory admittance nor exclusion, instead relying on medical opinion on a case-by-case basis.
