A domestic incident in Tamaqua Monday morning led to the arrests of a brother and sister.

Police were dispatched to 130 Schuylkill Avenue around 7:30 a.m. for a domestic in progress. They were met at the corner of Schuylkill Avenue and Mauch Chunk Street by the male victim. He told police that Tina Hosier, 29, had struck him, then called her brother, Brandon Hosier, 32, for help in beating him up.Minutes later officers saw the brother approaching on foot. When he saw police he ran toward Mauch Chunk Street.Knowing there was a warrant for his arrest on parole violations, police gave chase, strategically fanning out along Railroad and Mauch Chunk streets. As they searched yards and vacant spaces they observed Jonathan Manness of Tamaqua running through several of the yards. He was stopped, handcuffed and taken to a police cruiser.Officers continued searching for Hosier, who was found hiding in high weeds between two buildings. Both Hosiers and Manness were taken to the police station.Manness was cited for disorderly conduct and released. The victim opted not to press charges but there was a warrant for Tina Hosier's arrest on failure to appear on possession of drug paraphernalia charges. She was arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, then released on her own recognizance.Brandon Hosier was transferred to the custody of a state parole agent, then transported to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville.
