Snow tonight could cause slippery roads

Snowfall tonight may accumulate a few inches and create hazardous travel conditions.

Area residents reported temperatures in the single digits this morning, but there's more to come.

There will be dangerous wind chill readings from Friday evening through Saturday.

Accumulating snow is possible Sunday night into Monday.

Here's the latest:

Today: A chance of snow after 5pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 29. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight: Snow, mainly before 1am. Low around 24. Southeast wind 6 to 9 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Friday: A chance of snow, mainly between 8am and 2pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 27. Blustery, with a northwest wind 13 to 18 mph increasing to 19 to 24 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 4. Wind chill values as low as -10. Blustery, with a northwest wind 20 to 23 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 21. Northwest wind 14 to 17 mph.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 24.

Sunday Night: Snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 8. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Monday: Snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 19. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
