Shenandoah Valley gained an important Schuylkill League win over Marian, as the Devils forced a tie atop the Division 3 standings.

Both teams now have 7-2 records in league play.Kristina Nieddu added 10 points to the winning effort while teammate Carly Teaschenko chipped in with eight.For Marian, which dropped to 11-5, Abby Whildin finished with a team-high 14 points. Thomas, at 195, also registered two pins and a decision win to get to the championship bout but dropped a 9-4 decision to GAR's Zac Faust.PV also had three of its wrestlers finish in fifth place. James Gehr battled back from an opening loss and went 4-2 at the tourney, winning his fifth-place match 9-1. At 120, Jason Jacobi reached the semifinal round but dropped two straight. He was able to rebound for an 11-3 win in the fifth-place bout. Ahmad Curtis (285) won four times after his initial loss, finishing 6-2 at the tourney including a pin in his fifth-place matchup.Trevor Dorn added a sixth at 152, while Anthony McCue was seventh at 132. Garrett Gouger took eighth at 160.Blue Mountain won the 30-team tournament with 143.5 points. Troy was runner-up with 137.5 while Pleasant Valley ended third with 132.
