Two very unique items are included in the Panther Valley Historical Society Thanksgiving display in the window at Silver Furniture in Lansford.

A Winchester lever action carbine, saddle type, with complete brass action, has been provided by Mr. and Mrs. Nevin Flexer of Lansford. The rifle was manufactured in 1866 and was used mainly by mounted coal and iron police during the days of the Molly Maguires.The second unique item is a grandfather's clock, made in 1865, and restored by Michael Riebe of Lansford.
