The Lansford American Legion will have its Memorial Day Services at 9 a.m. Monday at the Veterans Monument at Kennedy Park.

There will be no parade due to lack of interest in the past.Before Memorial Day, the Summit Hill Legion plans to place flags on the graves of veterans in the Summit Hill cemeteries.If a grave is noticed without a flag, please contact the Summit Hill American Legion.All residents are requested by the legion to display the American flag and to attend the Kennedy Park services on Memorial Day.The public, as well as all veterans, Sons of the Legion, Legion Riders, Girl Scouts, Brownies, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and those serving in the Armed Services are welcome to attend.
