The engagement of Lauren Strohl of Palmerton and Drew Cortright of Slatington has been announced by their parents.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Rodney and Zoeanne Strohl of Palmerton and graduated from Palmerton Area High School in 2007.She earned a bachelor's degree in elementary and special education from Millersville University in 2011 and is presently pursuing a master's degree in reading at East Stroudsburg University.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Gary and Michelle Bergeris Cortright of Slatington and graduated from Northern Lehigh High School in 2007.He is employed by Towamensing Trails Property Owners Association as a maintenance worker.The couple has set a wedding date of May 30, 2015.
