Beatrice Burbes, a resident of Hometown Nursing Center and formerly of Lehighton, is celebrating her 102nd birthday.

She was born on July 19, 1912.She is the mother of two sons: Bruce Fritzinger of Lehighton, who is married to Charlotte; and Elmer Fritzinger, who passed away in 2001 in Florida.Beatrice is the wife of the late Lewis Burbes, who passed away in 1979.She loved going out to eat and shopping.A celebratory dinner is planned with her family.
