National show features local fisherman

Two years ago, Dan Triano, president of Bunker Up Fishin of New Ringgold, reeled in the opportunity to spend three days off the coast of Montauk, New York, with a film crew for Animal Planet's show "No Limits."

After airing in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, the half-hour episode hits U.S. television screens at 5 p.m. on Monday.Watch Triano with the show's host, Eric Young, as they hit the shore for the annual migration of striped bass and bluefish.They won't be casting the same old lines, however. They'll be using Triano's invention, the Sand Blaster Bait Caster, a rocket-like fishing apparatus that uses compressed air to launch bait 300 yards into the water from the shore.Triano's appearance on the show has opened the opportunity to work with the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration.With his revolutionary casting system, Triano tags sharks to track their migration patterns.The Sand Blaster Bait Caster made its debut about 10 years ago. Triano makes every apparatus himself.
