Two students were recipients of $500 scholarships from Lehighton Masonic Lodge No. 621.
Recipients are Arissa Snyder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Snyder of Palmerton, and Emily Mantz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Mantz of Lehighton.Arissa will be attending Penn State University studying for a nursing degree. She plans to have a career in physical therapy or as a nurse practitioner.Emily pLans to attend Kutztown College, where she will be studying art education and possibly special education.Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of an application essay based on the best idea and motive and need.
