State police at the Frackville barracks said William Staples, 34, of Carbondale, has been arrested on charges that he violated a Protection From Abuse order against him in Schuylkill County.

Police said the violations took place between 8:34 p.m. Dec. 16 and 3:45 p.m. Friday, when the man repeatedly send emails, text messages and telephone calls to the victim, a 31-year-old Cumbola woman.Staples has been charged with indirect criminal contempt of a court order.
