Trajan S. Koerbler is the 2014 Nesquehoning Hose Company Fireman of the Year.

Kroebler, who serves as the assistant chief of the fire company, as well as the fire company vice president, was awarded the honor during the fire company and Nesquehoning Ambulance Corp's Christmas banquet on Dec. 6.The presentation was made by Nesquehoning Mayor Sam Kitchko.The Nesquehoning Hose Company Fireman of the Year award was started in 2003 at the request of Fire Chief John McArdle.He formed a committee to select someone from the hose company who goes above and beyond in their service to the community as well as to the organization.
