New Jersey driver facing drug counts

A New Jersey driver is facing drug charges following a vehicle stop in Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge said Corey Asraf, 25, of Asbury Park, was stopped at 4:10 p.m. July 7 along Interstate 80 westbound in Tobyhanna Township for speeding, going 80 mph in a 65 zone.At the stop troopers detected the strong odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. As a result, troopers found two clear baggies containing marijuana, one glass jar containing marijuana, and one clear baggie containing psilocybin mushrooms, which were all sizes.Asraf is facing drug charges as a result, troopers said.
