Pocono Mountain Regional Police have charged an 18-year-old woman with assault and drug offenses after a mother-daughter altercation.

Amanda Saldonis was charged after the incident, which happened at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday at 9462 Juniper Drive in Tobyhanna.According to police Chief Harry W. Lewis, police were called to the home and told by Donna Muscolini, 41, that her daughter, Saldonis, had assaulted her.Muscolini had visible injuries to her face and wrist.Saldonis had left before police arrived, and was found a short distance away. She was taken to the police station, where a small amount of marijuana and a pipe were found on her.She was charged with simple assault, harassment, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
