Camp Papillon will hold an Adoption Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, April 28, at Tractor Supply, Route 209, Brodheadsville. One can go and meet the dogs, cats and critters that Camp Papillon has for adoption.
An online application can be filled out and one can get pre-approved in advance. Email email@example.com. For those not ready to adopt, fostering is a possibility. Camp Papillon provides vet care, food, crates and whatever one may need. All a fostering family or person has to supply is the love.

The Pleasant Valley Choral Society will present its annual Spring Pops musical program at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 27, and at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 28, in the Pleasant Valley High School auditorium. It is the 30th anniversary program and many old favorites are to be part of the musical presentation.

Zion plays host
Monroe County Family Promise families will be hosted by Zion Lutheran in Brodheadsville from April 28 through May 4.
The mission of Family Promise of Monroe County is to help local homeless families achieve permanent housing and lasting independence by providing safe shelter and meals in congregational facilities and by providing supportive services in collaboration with local social service agencies. Family Promise seeks to engage the community and individuals as well as businesses to end homelessness in Monroe County one family at a time.
Zion is one of the supporting churches in Monroe County.
Pleasant Valley School District Band Parents will meet at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 2 at the high school in Brodheadsville.
The Pleasant Valley Middle School Chorus Concert will be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 2.
Western Pocono Community Library will host a bicycle safety program at noon, Saturday, May 4. The program is open to all ages. A bike ride around the property will follow the program. Participants are asked to bring one's bike and one's helmet.
