State police at Frackville reported the arrest of a Schuylkill County man for simple assault.
Troopers said Robert Joseph Rountree, 43, and a 37-year-old female, both from New Philadelphia, were at a camp fire near 49 Water St., in the borough, drinking alcohol.
The two got involved in a verbal argument that became physical when both parties grabbed each other. During the confrontation the female sustained a broken leg and was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment. The incident occurred about 11 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14.
Troopers also reported on Sunday, Sept. 16, about 10:20 a.m. Daniel Quinn, 33, and his girlfriend, whose name was not released by troopers, got into an argument at her residence at 59 Preston Ave., in Girardville.
During the argument Quinn allegedly threw a metal can at her and grabbed her. She fled the home and he went outside and dented her car with a brick before fleeing the area.
Troopers said multiple citations were filed against Quinn.
