Jessica Gallagher weds Peter John Kupec

Jessica Gallagher and Peter John Kupec, both of Quakertown, were united in marriage on April 27, 2012 at the Church of St. Isidore in Quakertown. The Rev. John O'Neill officiated the double ring ceremony. The organist was Daniel Tomko.

The bride is the daughter of the late Patty Balogach and Michael Balogach of Nesquehoning. She was given in marriage by her grandfather, Thomas Gallagher of Summit Hill.

Lindsey Mitchalk of Aston served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christa Kattner, Nesquehoning; Amanda Wensel, New Ringgold; Kimberly Balogach, Tamaqua; Jennifer Watson, Houston, Texas; Jennifer Reeves, Kaska; Stephanie Lakits, Allentown; and Tina Petersen, Beachwood, N.J.

The bridegroom is the son of Gail Miller and Doug Miller of Kingsport, Tenn. and the late Peter A. Kupec Jr. of Coaldale.

He chose Michael Kupec of Summit Hill to be his best man. Ushers were John Spisak, Allentown; Michael Stauffenberg, Gainer, N.C.; Craig Strohl, Jason Zellin and Michael Gimbor, Summit Hill; and Pat Vito, Pensacola, Fla.

A reception was held at The Meadows in Hellertown. They honeymooned at Sandals Grande Antigua.

Prenuptial parties included a bridal shower at Basile's in Hometown, hosted by the bride's grandmother, bridegroom's mother and the bridesmaids.

The new Mrs. Kupec is a 2001 graduate of Marian High School, and a 2005 graduate of DeSales University, where she earned a bachelor of science in biology. She is employed as an associate scientist at Janssen Research and Development.

Mr. Kupec is a 1998 graduate of Panther Valley High School. He is employed by Sprinkler Fitter, Local Union 669.

The newlyweds currently reside in Quakertown.
