Over 200 families received Thanksgiving baskets from the Tamaqua Salvation Army yesterday during their annual food distribution. Major Sharon Whispell and Major Margaret Johnson stated their appreciation to all the individuals, groups and businesses that donated their time or food for the distribution. They are still planning their Christmas distribution and are asking people to keep donating food. Tamaqua Salvation Army volunteer Lorraine Durning organizes bags of food for their Thanksgiving food distrubution held yesterday.
