The Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade, begun in 1920, is the oldest Thanksgiving Day parade in the country. This year, it kicks off at 8:30 a.m. at 20th and Market Streets. It travels east on JFK Boulevard to 16th Street, then will turn left onto 16th Street until reaching the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The parade then bears right, going northwest on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway for three blocks until reaching Logan Circle. It will loop around the southern part of Logan Circle before continuing down the benjamin Franklin Parkway to Eakins Oval. The parade proceeds along the south portion of Eakins Oval, finishing in front of the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art at around noon.
