Tamaqua life skills students visit fire company, clean park

ANDREW LEIBENGUTH/TIMES NEWS Students with Amanda Woodring's Tamaqua Middle School Support/Life Skills class were given the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of being a volunteer firefighter while visiting the South Ward Fire Company in Tamaqua. During the visit, students were introduced to various equipment and apparatus used by the volunteer firefighters. After the tour of the station, the students spent a couple hours cleaning up the litter at the South Ward Playground.
