Triplets named award recipients

Alexis, Amanda and Antonio Colecio were presented with Scouting Religious Awards by their parents and the Rev. Floyd Caesar Jr. at Mass on July 22, at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Weatherly.

Antonio is a Webelos Scout with Cub Scout Pack 007 in Weatherly and Amanda and Alexis are Brownie Girl Scouts with Troop 3301 in Weatherly.Antonio received the Parvuli Dei Emblem, while Alexis and Amanda received the Family of God award. Both awards help young boys and girls explore a wide range of activities in order to discover the presence of God in their daily lives as members of their families and parishes and to develop a positive self-image through the contributions they make to the group and community.Young scouts are encouraged to work on their religious awards and become more closer to God and their families through scouting and can do so by contacting their Scout leaders or parish priest or by getting in touch with the Diocesan Scout Chaplain.The Mass was also in remembrance of their great-grandparents, Lucille and Peter Skiba.Alexis, Amanda and Antonio are the children of Jennifer and Anthony Colecio of Weatherly.
